Potluck
Supper
Every fall, Wonder Awhile
families gather to meet, eat and get to know
one another better. In years past, we have all gotten together one
Friday night in October at the Winthrop Middle School. Everyone brings
a dish, the kids play and create a mural and everyone shares a meal.
Afterward, the children spend a few minutes with their teachers
(singing Halloween songs) while parents are advised of upcoming events
and Board activities. Everyone is welcome!
Donation
for the Winthrop Food Bank
Every
winter families of Wonder Awhile donate food to the Winthrop Food Bank.
The food is collected at school and in some years, students deliver
the food to the Food Bank. Children learn about the importance of
sharing what we have with people who don't have enough.
Golf
Tournament
Wonder Awhile Nursery School hosts an annual golf tournament
in late spring. The registration fee covers 18 holes of premier golf,
cart, BBQ, and a chance to win prizes. This is a great
opportunity to have fun golfing with your friends while raising money
for supplies, field trips and keeping our tuition low! More information.
Walk-a-Thon
Every spring, the children and parents of Wonder Awhile are encouraged
to participate in our annual Walk-a-thon. After collecting pledges from
neighbors, friends and family, everyone gathers in the late morning for
a short "round the block" walk. Afterwards, there are balloons,
stickers and celebration. All money raised goes toward supplies, field
trips and keeping our tuition low!

Picknick
On the last day of school, parents are invited to join students for a
picknick and playing on the playground.
